The Brit imports were too expensive for my teenaged budget back then (here in the US).MAD4MUSIChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02778318368478148209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-271537082162603133.post-84837812881513899172010-11-16T09:51:48.850+01:002010-11-16T09:51:48.850+01:00Some of my friends told me that my taste is a bit ...Some of my friends told me that my taste is a bit like a trashcan, where you can find everything. Therefore it's pleasant that you've described the music I have posted as "cohesive". What else could you do as a confused teenager in the late 70s/early 80s than seek out for "new" music, no matter if it was Punk/New Wave/HC/Avantgarde etc. instead of the newest crap from Yes, Genesis or Rainbow. I always believed that the 45's in particular were the perfect test area for an independent band to experience not only on their music but also on the artwork of a sleeve. All in all this blog represents my addiction to the music I was listening to in my teenage years.nacylliB olaffuBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18033156235974335768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-271537082162603133.post-18170075971845033672010-11-15T18:00:01.051+01:002010-11-15T18:00:01.051+01:00Wow... another fantastic offering! I collected a lot of records during the period that your blog focuses on, but I only bought LPs---so it's great to hear all these 45s that I overlooked at the time. The single versions are often significantly different than the versions that appeared on LPs (if the songs showed up on an LP at all). The collection of music you've posted has a very "cohesive" feeling to it. Did you collect all of these records back in 70s/80s? It was a good time to be an adventurous music lover!MAD4MUSIChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02778318368478148209noreply@blogger.com
